On our last day in London we were looking for a nice place to have lunch after walking all morning. I looked up a cute looking cafe in my little book and went searching for it. We walked into an alley where this cute place is located. It had really nice atmosphere and the menu had some delicious looking options on it, so we gave it a try and were pleasantly surprised.
Tucked away in a courtyard between Clerkenwell Road and Great Sutton Street, we are on the ground floor of a beautiful old diamond-cutting factory.
Our café is inspired by traditional family values and good old-fashioned hospitality. In our family, the kitchen is at the heart of the home: there is always fresh-baked soda bread, a big pot of tea and a cake on the table. We have tried to recreate that feeling of homeliness wherever we can.
“We believe in healthy and wholesome home-cooking and baking, using simple recipes and fresh produce.”
Wouter chose a Club Sandwich with chicken and I decided to go for a superfood salad with goat cheese. It was both really good!
