After a weekend in Chicago and a week in Grand Rapids, Michigan, I took a plain to San Diego in California, my cousin Roger picked me up from the airport. I stayed with him for a total of 3 weeks and he took the first week off work so he could do fun things and show me around. First he took me on a road trip to Las Vegas. Early in the morning we left by car, so we would be on time to see Las Vegas by day and have enough time to look around and gamble a bit in the evening. Let me show you some photos I took there:
On our way there I already saw some typical American views like this roller coaster.
There we are! Viva Las Vegas:
The view from our hotelroom in The Palms:
To relax after a 6 hour drive we went to the pool on the roof of our hotel, where I enjoyed this delicious pina colada and the view.
The view from the roof terrace:
When it got dark, it was time to admire Las Vegas as I’ve seen it in the movies. All those lights! I loved it. The beautiful luxury shops, Venetia inside of a hotel, jungles, the biggest margarita ever, you name it. What a cool experience!
