When we were in Carlsbad, Roger took us to Sleeping Tiger Coffees. A coffeeshop right next to Starbucks. I’m a happy gal when you take me to Starbucks, but Wouter likes his coffee more strong, like the original Italian espressos, so he was a happy camper to find just that at Sleeping Tiger Coffees. For the rest of us rookie coffee drinkers there was plenty of choice as well. I had an almond milk cappuccino with a shot of vanilla syrup. It was delicious.
Their coffees are roasted in house. Their syrups, also crafted in house, are free from chemicals and artificial ingredients. Their teas are sourced locally from Oceanside’s Loose Leaf Tea Bar and the delicious pastries are baked fresh every morning at C’est La Vie just two blocks away. That’s how we like it.
The location is perfect, in walking distance from the beach, close to cute little shops and trendy places to eat. That makes it a perfect place to start up your day in Carlsbad.
