For our 4 year anniversary Wouter took me to London as a present, I’ve never been there and it’s so close to where we live! So last week it was finally time to go and we had such a great time! In this travel report I’ll tell about all we did/see/eat during our long weekend in this city. Maybe you’ll find something useful for your own city trip to London!
Friday
We had a very early flight, so we arrived at London Gatwick early in the morning. We took the Gatwick Express to Victoria station (Wouter already purchased the tickets in advance) and when we got their we bought our Oyster Cards and hopped onto the metro towards our hotel. The metro system is very easy to use! We stayed in the Bloomsbury Mercure hotel and when we got there our room wasn’t ready yet, but we could leave our suitcases and go out to explore the city!
We wanted to go to Primrose Hill to see the view over the city, so we went on a walk through the city. We took Oxford Street to see some shops and get some coffee at Workshop Coffee Co. on our way there. When we passed the crowded Oxford Street, the streets got more cute:
Before we arrived at Primrose Hill, we went through Regent park:
Then we finally arrived at Primrose Hill! A beautiful view indeed:
After we relaxed on top of the hill, we walked to a metro station to go back to the hotel, our room was ready by then. We had a really cute room and the bed was nice! We looked up a restaurant close to our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised, the food and atmosphere was so good! We had a fun evening!
And our beautiful and delicious food at Dalloway Terrace:
