Our second day in London, we did all the touristy things! I already bought fast track tickets for the London Eye online, so that’s where we went first. I totally recommend to buy your tickets online before you go, we didn’t have to wait in any line, so we were in a capsule very quickly, perfect! We did lots more this day, so go ahead and click read more, to see more! Warning: Photo heavy!
We started with a lovely breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, right around the corner of the London Eye, I’ll make a hotspot post about this lovely place as well!
Next we went to London Eye, like I said, we were in it very quickly so we could enjoy the amazing view!
Half an hour later we got out and walked further to see the Big Ben, the Parliament and Westminster Abby. We decided not to go inside, because there was a huuuge waiting line and it costs lots of money. And we’re not that into churches and the royal family, so we walked on and enjoyed the buildings from the outside.
Next was St. James park, a beautiful park with huge trees, lots of birds, squirrels and flowers. The sun was shining and it was just perfect!
We walked through the park to Buckingham Palace, we just missed the change of the guard, but we were just in time to watch them leave the square. We looked around, took some picuteres and walked on!
After another crowded walk on Oxford St we arrived at Hyde Park, where we ate a late lunch from Pret-a-Manger, perfect. We sat down in the grass to let our feet rest, ate a lovely veggie wrap and a croissant before we walked further into the park.
We were so tired, we took the Metro back to the hotel, had some rest in our hotel room, before we went to the pub to get a lovely fish and chips! A perfect end to a long but fun day of walking and being a proper tourist!
