As a graphic designer I had to make our own birth announcement card. I always think it’s harder to make something for myself, because I like too many styles and I’m constantly changing things up, because I can’t choose.
For Zoey’s birth announcement card I wanted to create something cute and typographic and I wanted to be able to frame it like a little poster. I used aquarel-like paper, so it looks like the roses are painted straight on it, in stead of printed. I choose to use craft paper envelopes and I designed cute little stickers with our logo on it to close the envelopes.
To keep things affordable I printed the logos on a rose background on an A4 stickersheet and used a scalloped punch to punch them all out by hand.
